Registration Now Open: 17th Biennial L.M. Montgomery Institute International Conference
The L.M. Montgomery Institute is pleased to announce that registration is now officially open for its 17th biennial international conference, “L.M. Montgomery and Change.”
Join the LMMI in person or online June 24–28, 2026! The conference will gather scholars, readers, and fans from around the world to explore the theme of “change” in Montgomery’s life, work, and enduring legacy. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, offering both an immersive in-person experience in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, or a full virtual attendance option for those participating from afar.
This year’s distinguished keynote speakers include:
-
Megan Follows: Award-winning actress and director, beloved globally for her portrayal of Anne Shirley, presenting “Anne of Everywhere: How A Redheaded Girl from PEI Became Canada’s Greatest Cultural Ambassador and Changed my Life Forever.”
-
Dr. Katharine Slater (Rowan University): Associate Professor and literature scholar, presenting “Change the Subject: Queer Opacity and L.M. Montgomery.”
-
Dr. Allison McBain Hudson (Dublin City University): LMMI Visiting Scholar, presenting “Maud, Pat, and Me: The Materiality of Change.”
A variety of registration options are available, from full conference registrations and exciting pre-conference workshops, to (free!) virtual access to Megan Follows’ keynote address.
