2025 PEI Heritage Festival Special Prize Winner

Former chair of the LMMI Management Committee, Dr. Philip Smith judged the LMM-themed entries in the Provincial Heritage Festival. The Festival is a learning opportunity for Island students in grades 5 through 9 that encourages them to do research and explore Canadian and Island history.

This year’s winner of the special prize in the “L.M. Montgomery” category is (pictured above) Freya Gallant, Grade 7, from Gulf Shore School, for her research on “Who is Lucy Maud Montgomery?”
